Effective January 1, 2013, anyone who works in a confined space in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador are required to complete a confined space entry (CSE) training course approved by Workplace NL. Knowing how to work safely in a confined space is critical for the safety of workers.
Knowledge, training and experience to be competent and qualified as defined by the Occupational Health and Safety Regulations in the use of CSE equipment, systems and planning; fall protection, respiratory protection and gas detection.
Proficient knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Regulations and current industry standards specific to CSE systems
Occupational health and safety (OH&S) education and training, and
Approved curriculum by Workplace NL.
CSE certification training has an expiry date of three (3) years upon which the course must be completed again for renewal.

Pre-requisite: WHMIS 2015, Fall Protection
Student-Instructor Ratio = 20:1
Minimum Participants = 8
Expiration: 3 years
